Jackson returns to G League with 26 points in victory; Bullock, Pinson hurt

By R.L. Bynum

Justin Jackson made an impressive return to the G League on Tuesday night after his second stint of the season with the Phoenix Suns.

In his first game since Jan. 29 for the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks’ affiliate, Jackson scored 26 points and four 3-pointers with nine rebounds, two assists and three steals as they earned a 113–107 road victory over the Stockton Kings.

The Legends, 7–8 in 2022, were 1–4 without Jackson, who made all eight free-throw attempts.

Cameron Johnson had nine points, two rebounds and three assists in the Phoenix Suns’ 103–96 home victory over the Los Angeles Clippers for their sixth consecutive victory. It was his third game in the last five scoring in single digits.

Phoenix, which has won 17 of its last 18 games dating back to Jan. 11, is 47–10 and leads Golden State by 5½ games for the NBA’s best record.

Danny Green, starting for the second consecutive game, had three points and an assist in Philadelphia’s 125–87 home loss to Boston.

Reggie Bullock and Theo Pinson both sat out the Dallas Mavericks’ 107–99 win at Miami with injuries. Bullock is dealing with a right hip contusion and Pinson fractured his right fifth finger.
