Channel guides confusing fans about where to watch UNC-N.C. State game

By R.L. Bynum

If you can’t get to the Smith Center on Saturday at 5 p.m., where can you watch the North Carolina-N.C. State game on television?

It’s simple — it will air on ACC Network with Wes Durham and Dan Bonner on the call.

What’s confusing many fans is that some channel guides — including on DirecTV and Spectrum — don’t list the UNC-State game for 5 p.m. on ACC Network and instead list “Syracuse at Virginia.”

The main problem with that is that it should list “N.C. State at North Carolina.” The other problem? Syracuse and Virginia aren’t playing each other on Saturday. This listing is for a rerun of the Jan. 7 game when the Cavaliers beat the Orange 73–66.

That confusion has caused plenty of Tar Heels and Wolfpack fans to wonder where the game will air.

It’s on ACC Network. Need confirmation? Below is a screenshot from the UNC sports information pregame notes, and it’s also listed on the ACC Network schedule on the ESPN website.
