So when you grabbed it, obviously you knew it because you told us yesterday you keep it track

and the crowd knew it too. What instantly went to your mind even though that play was still on

I would say probably just so weight was off of my shoulder. I mean, all game I was really just trying to go all day

And I thought early on I got a good start of getting a good amount of rebounds

Then I picked up that second foul and I was like, whoa, just not trying to get in foul trouble

But trying to stay in the game too and be aggressive. And then I got lucky

They missed a couple of shots, and then I got the last remount. You almost got it on the previous position, and you didn't get it

You had a little, like your fist, like you were a little upset, I guess, a little disappointed

Yeah, I mean, like I said, I was just trying to get that weight off my shoulder, and I mean, I'm just happy

You told this yesterday when you thought it in the means, the only difference you found it, what does it actually feel to happen

He said he doesn't remember, but he remembers the way you were then. So he's really proud of every aspect of your entire being, not just basketball, but as a young man

Could you imagine maybe in that hospital room that day thinking that you would

be here answering these kinds of questions from us? I mean, definitely not. I mean, you all saw it

I mean, I really just think my whole career. I've just been growing and growing as a player

Freshman year, I had a lot of tough struggles. I mean, the team, too, I started off really good

then struggled all throughout the season. But, I mean, I never gave up

Coach Williams, Coach Davis, they all stayed on me, told me to work hard, work hard. Coming back that next year

coach he brought in De Ron Sharp Walker Kessler and those two guys in the NBA right now I didn look at it as something like coach just recruited to All Biggs over me I just looked at it as a challenge That whole summer during the pandemic I just worked my tail off and just kept working and working

And I just got a lot better, and it showed. Did you see Roy after the game

I did, yeah. He just told me he's proud of me, and I'll probably see him a little later and poke a little fun at him and stuff to tell him

I'm the greatest rebounder here of all times. You mentioned Kurt Robb, but someone who really helped you

with your rebound. Have you heard from him at all this season? Has he been a person to record? No, not yet. I'm a face-time him tonight and just kind of put fun in him a little bit

because he definitely got on me a lot as a freshman. What's the next? What does it sort of mean to you

Where do you sort of put yourself with all the great things in North Carolina history

Well, I can't put myself too hard because it's still one more thing I've got to do

But if I get that, then we can have a different discussion. What makes you a championship

That's very mean? Yeah, championship. But I would say just my anticipation is just not giving up on plays

I really put an emphasis on extending plays and getting offensive rebounds

Because throughout the game, you're going to miss a lot of shots at being able to get rebounds

It leads to fouls and second chance opportunities. And that's just one of the things that I really promise of all

Armada, what was it like for the entire second half kind of looking up? Were you counting down

What was that like, countdown? Trying to get to that record. Yeah, like I said, in the first half I started off hot

and then I got in foul trouble. So really, I was trying to play cautious but still be aggressive. And then once I got to, like, 14, I knew I had it

Was this the most intense and focus you guys, been since the NCAA tournament

Yeah, I would say definitely one of them. I mean, it's a big robbery game

And obviously, we knew coming into this game, what was at stake, and it's a game you can't lose

And they got a great team this year. We just knew coming in, we had to really come locked in

Because in the first half, like you saw, I mean, they got up, what, like six or eight points

and they pressured the ball a lot. And that's something we struggled with all year. But I thought after the first five to ten minutes

regards it a phenomenal job of handling the pressure. And then we started pressure

on them and it really just changed the whole game. What's it like battling birds inside

Yeah, well, I mean, I thought early I did a good job on him and then he got me those two quick files and then after that

that really just forced me to not be as aggressive defensively. And I mean, DJ Burns, he's a crafty player

He's huge and he's quick. So it's tough guarding guys like that and I thought he did a good job all game

or really just being aggressive and using his body. But I mean, I think next time we plan we'll have a different way of guarding him
