ESPN’s first on-site ‘GameDay’ of season will be before UNC’s opener in Charlotte against South Carolina

North Carolina will appear on the football version of ESPN’s College GameDay for the third time when the show will air from Charlotte before the Tar Heels’ Sept. 2 season-opener against South Carolina. It will be the Tar Heels’ first appearance on the show since Sept. 4, 2010, before they lost to LSU in their season opener in Atlanta.

UNC and Kansas to play home-and-home men’s basketball series

Carolina and Kansas will play a home-and-home men’s basketball series, with games in the 2024–25 and 2025–26 seasons. The series starts in 2024–25, with the Tar Heels visiting Lawrence, Kansas, for the second time in program history and the first time since 1960. When the Jayhawks come to the Smith Center during the 2025–26 season, it will be their first visit.

Wrexham goaltender Foster shares his steamy Chapel Hill experience, marvels at UNC’s facilities

A sweltering night at Kenan Stadium didn’t go so well for Wrexham goaltender Ben Foster, but he enjoyed his time in Chapel Hill. He gives you the sights and sounds from his perspective in an interesting nearly 15-minute video. Chelsea won the friendly 5–0 but Chapel Hill and Carolina appears to have won over Foster, although the 40-year-old veteran clearly didn’t like the heat.
