Tar Heels in NBA: Bullock, Jackson both in double figures in Knicks’ victory

By R.L. Bynum

In a matchup of Tar Heels, Reggie Bullock and Justin Jackson each scored in double figures in New York’s 119–97 home victory Saturday over Oklahoma City.

In only Bullock’s fourth double-figure scoring output in the last 14 games since scoring 21 on Feb. 7 against Miami, his four 3-pointers were the most since collecting seven in that Miami game.

Jackson had 10 points and two 3-pointers for his first double-figure scoring game since scoring 22 against Milwaukee on Feb. 14 but his nearly 17 minutes of playing time was also the most since that Bucks game.

Theo Pinson was scoreless in two minutes for the Knicks.

Harrison Barnes’ streak of seven consecutive games with at least 17 points ended with an 11-point, seven-rebound, five-assist effort in Sacramento’s 121–106 Saturday loss at Atlanta. The 8.9 game score was his lowest since coming back from injury on Feb. 23.

Danny Green put up a 14.6 game score, his best in 16 games, in Philadelphia’s 127–101 Friday victory at Washington. He collected 12 points, five 3-pointers, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. Tony Bradley scored six points in nine minutes.

Wayne Ellington had nine points and three 3-pointers in Detroit’s 100–95 Saturday loss at New Jersey.

In Chicago’s 101–90 Friday loss to Miami, Coby White had eight points and five assists. His 5.7 game score was his lowest in 10 games and his 23.1% shooting (3 of 13) from the floor was his lowest since going 0 of 5 on Jan. 17, which was 23 games earlier.
