Danny Green reportedly will miss 2 to 3 weeks with right calf strain

After Danny Green left the Philadelphia 76ers’ Game 3 victory Friday night over the Atlanta Hawks with a right calf strain, he will reportedly miss two to three weeks.

Green left the 127–111 win a little less than four minutes into the game and didn’t play after that, returning to the bench with a boot on his right leg. According to The Athletic, sources tell him that Green will be out two or three weeks. The Philadelphia Inquirer estimated that Green could be out as many as five weeks.

The team said that Green will be re-evaluated in about two weeks.

It hasn’t been a productive series for Green, who combined for nine points in the first two games before going scoreless in a brief appearance on Friday night.

After going 12 of 23 from 3-point range in his first four playoff games this season, he had gone 2 for 14 in the last four games. Green dished out eight assists in Philadelphia’s Game 2 win over Atlanta, which topped his regular-season high of six Jan. 12 against Miami.

The Sixers take a 2–1 series lead into Game 4 on Monday night in Atlanta.

Green is seeking his third consecutive NBA title after winning the 2020 championship with the Los Angeles Lakers and the 2019 championship with the Toronto Raptors. He also won a title with the 2014 San Antonio Spurs.
