Four-star point guard Trimble, Tokoto’s brother, commits to UNC

Hubert Davis has been a big advocate of keeping it in the Carolina family, and he did that big time with a four-star point guard on Wednesday.

Seth Trimble, the brother of former Carolina player J.P. Tokoto, committed Wednesday to UNC, giving Davis some backcourt depth and possibly flexibility should Caleb Love or R.J. Davis leave after their upcoming sophomore season.

Trimble, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound rising senior at Menomonee Falls High School in Wisconsin, shot 55% from the floor and 35% from 3-point range last season while averaging 23.3 points, six rebounds and 3.5 assists.

Ranked 54th in the 2022 class in the 247 Sports composite rankings, he selected UNC ahead of Michigan and Marquette, among others.

Trimble is the second member of UNC’s Class of 2022 class after 6-10, 205-pound big man Will Shaver committed to the Tar Heels earlier this month.
