Ian Jackson scored nine points and a pair of 3-pointers as the United States team turned back China 92–69 in the round of 16 Wednesday at the FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary.

The Americans next play the winner of the Japan in Friday’s quarterfinals.

Jackson played 15 minutes and was 3 of 6 from the floor, 2 of 3 from 3-point range, made his only free-throw attempt and had a rebound and two assists. He’s shooting 63% (7 of 11) from 3-point range for the tournament.

Jackson, a five-star UNC Class of 2024 commitment, again didn’t start in the game but entered the contest in the middle of the first quarter.
