Tar Heels in NFL: Williams gains 91 total yards, scores TD as Broncos roll; Chandler rushes for 66 yards

By R.L. Bynum

Javonte Williams collected 91 total yards and a touchdown as Denver rolled to a 24–7 road victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, the Broncos’ sixth win in the last seven games.

Williams ran 17 times for 66 yards, including a 20-yard run and a three-yard touchdown run, and caught three passes for 25 yards. It was his first rushing touchdown since his rookie season.

Denver is one of six 7–6 AFC teams fighting for the last two playoff spots. The Broncos aren’t in playoff position now because of a 4–5 conference record, but three of their final four opponents are from the AFC.
