UNC, Duke keep winning, and ticket prices to see them meet keep going up

Tickets for a UNC-Duke game that cost at least $119 (with fees, as of Tuesday) on secondary ticket markets would be considered a pretty good deal if it was men’s basketball.

That number is eye-popping for football, considering the struggles of both programs over the years, particularly the Blue Devils.

But with the No. 17 Tar Heels and No. 18 Blue Devils off to 3–0 starts in football in the same season for only the sixth time, that’s the lowest price to buy a ticket for the sold-out Nov. 11 homecoming game at Kenan Stadium.

If you want a ticket at a decent price, you might want to buy one now. There’s no telling what the price will be if both teams keep winning between now and November.

That $119.83 price on Ticketmaster is a deal, for now, considering the get-in price is $161 on TickPick, $167 on Vivid Seats, $172 on SeatGeek and $182 on StubHub (all prices that were on these sites Tuesday include fees).

It should be noted that SeatGeek is UNC’s official secondary market outlet.

Carolina has won the last four meetings since the Tar Heels ended a three-game Duke win streak in the series in 2019.

Coach Mack Brown hasn’t lost to Duke in Kenan Stadium since 1989.
