Guard Kennedy Todd-Williams will return to Ole Miss for her fifth college season.

The guard, who played her first three seasons at UNC, started 25 games, including the last 16, and averaged 10.6 points per game.

“Last season was only the beginning for my time at Ole Miss. Team 49 and the fan base has welcomed me with open arms,” Todd-Williams said in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Team 49 is another name for the Ole Miss women’s team.

“I’m happy to call this place home,” Todd-Williams said. “The season was good, no doubt. Breaking records and making history. But we’re not done. My job is to finish it with an incredible fan base and squad by my side; I’m ready to run it back and finish what we started. I’m back!”

Todd-Williams grew up in Jacksonville, N.C., and has said that Carolina was her dream school. But she opted to transfer to Ole Miss after her junior season at UNC.

In three seasons for the Tar Heels, Todd-Williams averaged 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 31.1% from 3-point range while being one of their best defenders. She went from scoring 52 3-pointers and shooting 32.3% from 3-point range as a junior at Carolina to making only 19 and shooting 26.8% from outside the arc this past season.

Ole Miss, No. 12 in the preseason poll but unranked the rest of the season after getting off to a 6–3 start, went 24–9 and finished third in the SEC at 12–4 before losing at Notre Dame 71–56 in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Todd-Williams averaged a career-high 2.3 assists per game this past season, shooting 42.1% from the floor.

Her best game of the season came in the Rebels’ 69–59 road win at Georgia on Jan. 21, when she scored 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists. That tied her career-high for points, which was first set on Jan. 26, 2023, for Carolina in a 72–57 victory at Pittsburgh.

Todd-Williams was part of a talented Class of 2020 recruiting class that was ranked No. 11 in the country. It included guard Deja Kelly (No 10 in ESPN’s rankings), center Anya Poole (No. 49), center Aly Zelaya (No. 98) and wing Alyssa Ustby.

Poole and Zelaya each entered the transfer portal on Monday. Kelly and Ustby haven’t made announcements about their future.
