Caleb Love will return to Arizona for a fifth college after going through the NBA draft process.
Love, who announced the news in a social-media video on Wednesday, participated in the G League Elite Camp but couldn’t earn a spot in the NBA Draft Combine.
The final Pac-12 Player of the Year, Love averaged 18 points and scored 92 3-pointers while starting all 36 games for the Wildcats last season, setting career-highs in field goals (218), field goal percentage (41.3%), rebounds (172), rebounds per game (4.8), steals (42) and blocks (11).
Arizona went 27–9 and won the last Pac-12 regular-season title before losing to Clemson 77–72 in the Sweet 16. Love scored 13 points and missed all nine 3-point attempts in the game.
The Wildcats will be in the Big 12 next season.
Love’s three seasons at UNC included an iconic 3-pointer to beat Duke in the 2022 Final Four and a 14.6 points per game average in 101 games.
