The ACC announced on Thursday the game times and television designations for the first three games of Carolina’s football schedule.
The Tar Heels’ opener at Minnesota’s Huntington Bank Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 29, will start at 8 p.m. and air on Fox.
UNC’s game is the third ACC game on Aug. 29, with Western Carolina visiting N.C. State at 7 p.m. on ACC Network and N.C. A&T at Wake Forest at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.
Carolina then begins a three-game homestand, facing Charlotte at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, on ACC Network in the first meeting between the schools.
The Tar Heels will face another school for the first time on the following weekend when N.C. Central comes to Kenan Stadium for a 6 p.m. game that will be streamed on ESPN3.
The ACC will announce the game times and TV for the rest of the season, starting with the Sept. 21 home game against James Madison, likely two weeks before each game.
