RJ Davis makes his NBA Summer League debut on Saturday, when Harrison Ingram and Cole Anthony are also scheduled to play.
Most Summer League games are played from Thursday through July 20 in Las Vegas, but their teams also play games Saturday through Tuesday in preliminary events. Drake Powell is expected to play for the Brooklyn Nets’ Summer League team, but rosters haven’t been released for teams that are only playing games in Las Vegas.
You can watch Davis’ debut on the Los Angeles Lakers’ team against the Golden State Warriors at the California Classic Summer League in San Francisco’s Chase Center at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2.
Davis signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Lakers after the second round of the NBA draft last month.
Included on the Lakers’ roster are Bronny James, former Tennessee star Dalton Knecht, former Duke guard DJ Steward and former Syracuse forward Cole Swider.
The Lakers face the Miami Heat at 4:30 p.m. Sunday (NBA TV) and Ingram’s San Antonio Spurs at 10 p.m. Tuesday (ESPN).
The Summer League debut of former Duke star Cooper Flagg, the top pick in the NBA draft, with the Dallas Mavericks, will be against the Lakers in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. Thursday (ESPN).
Ingram’s first game is at 4:30 p.m. Saturday against the Miami Heat (NBATV), and the Spurs face the Golden State Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Sunday (NBATV).
Ingram played seven Summer League games for San Antonio last year, averaging 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists while shooting 41.4% from the floor and 36.4% from 3-point range. Ingram played last season in the G League with the Austin Spurs, averaging 12.3 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
The Orlando Magic traded Anthony to Memphis on June 15. Although he reportedly could end up signing with another team, he’s listed on the Grizzlies’ Summer League roster.
Memphis is playing in the Salt Lake City Summer League, facing the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7 p.m. on Saturday (ESPNU), the Utah Jazz at 9 p.m. on Monday (NBATV), and the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (NBATV).
Anthony’s only previous Summer League action was with Orlando in 2021, when he averaged 7.5 points in four games.
Armando Bacot, who played for the Utah Jazz in last year’s Summer League, signed with Memphis and played for the Grizzlies’ G League team last season but isn’t listed on their Summer League roster.
