Leaky Black had his best game of the NBA Summer League on Sunday, while Pete Nance flirted with a double-double and Cormac Ryan started and scored in double figures.
Black played six minutes more than in the Washington Wizards’ opener, making all three field-goal attempts, including two 3-pointers. In nearly 16 minutes, he finished with nine points in Washington’s 102–96 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Black collected two rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Nance and Ryan play for the Milwaukee Bucks, who lost to the Los Angeles Clippers 106–91.
Nance, who is signed to a two-way contract, scored in double figures for the third time in three games, all starts, finishing with 18 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Starting for the first time in three games, Ryan — who scored 18 points against Denver in the Bucks’ Summer League opener on Thursday — played more than 26 minutes, collecting 11 points, four assists and two steals.
Garrison Brooks and Dawson Garcia are on the Detroit Pistons’ Summer League roster, but neither played (coach’s decision) in their 98–83 victory over the Houston Rockets.
Former UNC players playing on Monday are:
— Harrison Ingram, whose San Antonio Spurs face the Utah Jazz at 8:30 p.m. on NBATV
— RJ Davis, whose Los Angeles Lakers play the Los Angeles Clippers at 10:30 p.m. on NBATV.
