ACC Network reloads with new weekday lineup after Packer’s retirement

By R.L. Bynum

Viewers wondering what comes next for ACC Network on weekend afternoons after the retirement of longtime Mark Packer got their answer on Monday.

The network has shuffled its afternoon lineup with different programs and a shorter version of the “ACC PM” show that Packer hosted.

“ACC PM” goes from originating from Packer’s basement in Charlotte to airing from a studio in Bristol, Conn., from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Fridays.

Kelsey Riggs Cuff will host the two-hour Friday episodes, complete with on-site contributions from the “ACC Huddle” team as they gear up for the weekend’s biggest matchups. It’s not clear who will host Monday through Thursday.

The studio roster has expanded with the addition of Dave Clawson, the former Wake Forest head coach and 2021 ACC Coach of the Year, and Bryce Love, the Stanford great and 2017 Heisman Trophy runner-up, joining ACCN veterans Mark Richt and Tom Luginbill alongside Riggs Cuff.

Together, they’ll anchor the network’s Friday and Saturday college football coverage with unmatched perspective and energy.

“Inside ACCess” expands, doubling the air time for reporters Andrea Adelson and David Hale to a full hour every Thursday (5–6 p.m.), delivering ACC storytelling, original reporting and interviews.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, the “ACC Network Football Podcast” airs from 5 to 6 p.m., hosted by former Florida State star E.J. Manuel and former Georgia Tech captain Roddy Jones. The show debuts next Monday.

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, from 5 to 6 p.m., “ACC Network Basketball Podcast” debuts. It will feature a rotating group of voices covering both men’s and women’s hoops. Both podcasts will also be available to stream on the ESPN App and across various podcast platforms.

“ACC Huddle” airs from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the site of the ACC’s marquee matchup. Taylor Tannebaum leads the team, joined by Eric Mac Lain, Eddie Royal and former Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher.

After kickoff, coverage returns to Bristol for analysis and studio updates before wrapping with “ACC Huddle Final Score.”
