There will be a season-long docuseries on Hulu about the Carolina football team, which EverWonder Studio will produce, Coach Bill Belichick announced to the team in a video released by UNC on Sunday, adding the more information will be coming on the venture.
“I know that you guys have heard that there was a lot of interest in doing what’s called a season-long documentary, or season-long show, about North Carolina football,” UNC coach Bill Belichick said to the team.
“So, I’m excited to really share with you that we will be doing that with EverWonder and Hulu that will show our football program,” he said.
Earlier this year, there were reports that HBO’s “Hard Knocks Offseason” would feature UNC’s spring practice, but that fell through.
“This is about the UNC football program,” Belichick said. “There’s obviously a lot of interest in it, and it’ll stream on Hulu later this fall.”
Belichick said that it would show the players working hard at getting better.
He said it will document the program “starting from where it started from several months ago, wherever it’s going to go over the course of the season. It’ll show our commitment to winning. It’ll show our commitment to the team, and that’s our priority.”
Carolina opens the Belichick era at 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, on ESPN against TCU.
Hulu is a subscription streaming service owned by Disney Entertainment.
