Coming home has meant coming off the bench for Coby White, but also playing his best basketball of the season for the streaking Charlotte Hornets.
White scored a season-high 27 points once in 29 games this season for the Chicago Bulls, but has matched that twice in the last three games, all at home, and the Hornets have won four games in a row.
“I’ve never been on a team this dangerous,” White, acquired from the Bulls at the February trade deadline, said after collecting 27 points and five rebounds in Tuesday’s 134–90 win over Sacramento.

After getting 27 points and five assists in Thursday’s 130–111 win over Orlando, he contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in Saturday’s 124–101 victory.
“It could be a back-and-forth game, and then you hit one run, and then you look up, and you’re up 20, and then you’re up 30,” White said. “The main thing for me is we’re explosive, but we’re starting to hold those leads when we do get them and continue to build on them. That’s the impressive thing for me, too.”
White poured in six 3-pointers on Tuesday for his highest total in 12 Charlotte games, only eclipsed by the Jan. 18 game for Chicago against Brooklyn when he scored seven 3s.
Charlotte (38–34) is ninth in the Eastern Conference and is in good position to earn a spot in a play-in game.
He’s averaging 15.9 points as a Hornet while shooting 40.3% from 3-point range, which is higher than any full-season percentage in his career. White is also averaging 3.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists for the Hornets despite only playing 19.7 minutes per game.
Harrison Barnes has scored double-figure points in back-to-back games for the first time since late December for the surging San Antonio Spurs.
Barnes, who had six points in Thursday’s 101–100 home win over Phoenix, scored 12 points and two 3-pointers in Saturday’s 134–119 home win over Indiana (tying for the team high with +21), then had 13 points and four 3-pointers in Monday’s 136–111 victory at Miami.
Before coming off the bench against the Heat, Barnes had started three consecutive games for the first time since late January for the Spurs, who have won six games in a row.
Cameron Johnson has put up double-digit points in seven of the last eight games as Denver has won its last three games.
Johnson rebounded from scoring six points in Friday’s 121–115 home win over Toronto to net 19 points and five 3-pointers in Sunday’s 128–112 home victory over Portland and 14 points in Tuesday’s 125–123 victory at Phoenix.
RJ Davis had three good games in the G League for the South Bay Lakers, topped by 25 points and three 3-pointers in Friday’s 111–98 home win over the Grand Rapids Gold. Davis had 22 points in Saturday’s 119–11 victory over the Gold, then collected 16 points, nine assists and five rebounds in Tuesday’s 115–114 home loss to the Stockton Kings.
Harrison Ingram continues to be a double-double machine for the Austin Spurs while averaging 16.1 points and 12 rebounds per game. He has 27 double-doubles on the season after doing it twice in three nights on the road in wins over the Noblesville Boom, with five assists in both games.
Ingram had 26 points and 14 rebounds in Friday’s 121–107 win and 15 points with 12 rebounds in Sunday’s 117–97 victory.

Love had a pair of big games over the weekend against Raptors 905, including a G League season-high 33 points with six rebounds and five assists in Friday’s 126–117 home loss. Love, whose NBA season-high is 26 points, followed that up with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists in Sunday’s 115–107 home win.

— Pete Nance collected 11 points and six rebounds in Milwaukee’s 129–96 road loss Monday to the Los Angeles Clippers after combining for five points in the Bucks’ other two games over the last seven days.
— Drake Powell, who didn’t play Monday for Brooklyn due to left knee injury management, combined for 10 points, six rebounds and five assists in the Nets’ other three games in the past week.
— After Leaky Black didn’t play in Washington’s games on Thursday and Saturday, he contributed three points and three rebounds in Sunday’s 145–111 loss at New York.
