Justin Jackson has put up a lot of big numbers in the G League since joining the struggling Texas Legends on Feb. 24 and did that again on Thursday night, finally in a victory. He had that sweet jump shot going that Carolina fans know so well, and put together an outstanding overall game.

Justin Jackson would obviously prefer to still be on an NBA roster, but the plus side is that he’s getting plenty of playing time being back with the G League’s Texas Legends. To say that Jackson was shooting well from the start of Monday’s game would be an understatement. He scored four 3-pointers in the first five minutes, with every shot getting nothing but net.

Garrison Brooks isn’t on an NBA roster, but he’s having the sort of G League season for the Westchester Knicks that makes a good case that he should be. Through six games, he’s the league’s leading rebounder.
Meanwhile, Harrison Barnes can’t be stopped in the last seven games, and the Sacramento Kings can’t be beaten behind his play and leadership.

Justin Jackson scored 24 points Tuesday night to lead the Texas Legends to a 115–110 victory over the Birmingham Squadron in the first round of the G League playoffs for the first postseason win in franchise history. The Legends, the No. 5-seed in the Western Conference, were the only road team to win a first-round game. They knocked off the No. 4-seed Squadron, the affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Jackson returns to G League with 26 points in victory; Bullock, Pinson hurt

Justin Jackson made an impressive return to the G League on Tuesday night after his second stint of the season with the Phoenix Suns. In his first game for the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks’ affiliate, since Jan. 29, Jackson scored 26 points and four 3-pointers with nine rebounds, two assists and three steals as they earned a 113–107 road victory over the Stockton Kings.
