Four Marches after teaming up on a run to the Final Four for UNC, RJ Davis and Caleb Love battled for two games in the G League, with Love putting on an overtime show on Tuesday.
Both put up big games as Davis’ South Bay Lakers (22–9) and Love’s Rip City Remix (17–15) split two games in Portland.
In Sunday’s 129–122 South Bay victory, Love outscored Davis 25–24 and got more 3-pointers (4 to 3) and had more assists (7 to 6).
Tuesday, in Rip City’s 133–126 overtime victory, which snapped a 12-game South Bay win streak, Davis had the better night with a game-high 29 points, five 3-pointers and five assists, but Love was the difference in the game.
Love contributed 28 points and two 3-pointers and scored all of Rip City’s overtime points as his team outscored the Lakers 7–0 after regulation. He scored on a layup, a driving dunk and a step-back 3-pointer to put the game away.
It was the second time they’ve met since their five-year college careers ended. They played in a G League Elite Camp scrimmage in May, with both scoring 13 points.
Coby White continues to put up good numbers for Charlotte as a key contributor off the bench. He had 18 points in Saturday’s 115–102 loss at San Antonio and 24 points in Tuesday’s 136–106 home win over Miami.

Harrison Barnes started Tuesday for the first time since Feb. 5, scoring 16 points and four 3-pointers as San Antonio won its third straight game, winning at Sacramento 132–104. This was after he came off the bench to combine for 10 points in the Spurs’ previous two games.
Cameron Johnson scored 18 points in each of Denver’s last two games, a 127–125 overtime road loss Saturday against the Los Angeles Lakers and a 124–96 home win Tuesday over Philadelphia. He scored four 3-pointers against the Lakers and three against the Sixers.
After combining for three points in the previous two games, Pete Nance scored 13 points and three 3-pointers with seven rebounds and two blocks in Milwaukee’s 123–116 Tuesday home loss to Cleveland.
Harrison Ingram put up yet another double-double Sunday, with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the Austin Spurs’ 106–104 loss to the Stockton Kings.
After not playing the previous three games, Cormac Ryan poured in 29 points and three 3-pointers, with seven rebounds and six assists, in the Wisconsin Herd’s 116–115 Monday road loss to the Windy City Bulls.
Drake Powell didn’t play in Saturday’s Brooklyn loss at Philadelphia. He started Monday’s 114–95 home loss to Portland, finishing with two points and two blocks.
