A full day of memorable Carolina victories, from postseason thrills and rivalry showdowns to a memorable Seth Trimble shot, will take over ACC Network on Wednesday as part of the channel’s annual school takeover programming.

The 24 hours of programming showcase some of the most memorable moments from the UNC sports season that finished Monday with the baseball team making the College World Series Finals.

UNC’s lineup reflects impressive results over multiple sports, with NCAA tournament games, ACC championships and high-profile regular-season matchups filling the schedule. It includes six battles between ranked teams and an unranked Tar Heels team topping a ranked team.

In alphabetical order, each school gets its day on ACC Network. It started last Wednesday with Cal and concludes on July 14 with Wake Forest.

The Tar Heels’ day opens at midnight with a 12–11 win for the No. 5 men’s lacrosse team over No. 19 Army, before shifting to men’s soccer at 2 a.m. and a 3–0 home match victory against Virginia Tech. Women’s soccer follows at 4 a.m. with No. 23 Carolina blanking Syracuse 4–2, a reminder of the program’s continued prominence on the national stage.

By early morning, the focus turns to championship play.

No. 1 UNC’s 4–1 ACC field hockey championship game win over No. 5 Virginia airs at 6 a.m., highlighting one of the Tar Heels’ most consistently dominant programs. That is followed by an 8 a.m. softball clash, with UNC upsetting No. 18 Duke 6–5, one of several rivalry matchups featured throughout the day.

The Duke–UNC theme continues into late morning with the women’s basketball matchup at 10 a.m. You’ll get another look at one of the ACC’s premier rivalries and a 74–69 senior day victory for No. 21 UNC over the No. 18 Blue Devils.

At noon, the spotlight shifts back to championship competition with the ACC women’s lacrosse title game, a 12–8 win over No. 11 Stanford for the top-ranked Tar Heels.

Football takes center stage in the afternoon at 2 o’clock, when you can watch the 27–10 victory at Syracuse. Taking you into the evening at 5 o’clock is the 71–68 men’s basketball victory over Duke with Trimble’s game-winning 3-pointer.

The evening window is anchored by postseason baseball.

No. 5 UNC’s rally and walk-off 4–3 NCAA Super Regional Game 3 win against Southern California begins at 7 p.m., capturing the intensity of June baseball and the stakes of advancing to the College World Series.

The day closes with volleyball at 10 p.m., as the Tar Heels win a home match 3–2 over SMU at 10 p.m. The five-set thriller was UNC’s first victory over a top-10 team since 2016.
