Caleb Wilson capped off standout play in Las Vegas by earning a spot on the NBA’s All-Summer League First Team, which was announced Tuesday.
The Chicago Bulls forward, who left UNC after one injury-shortened season and was selected fourth overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, put together one of the most talked-about runs this month.
He generated the most buzz in Las Vegas with his high-flying dunks and surprising 3-point shooting, and finished his four-game slate averaging 23.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.5 blocks and 1.8 steals while shooting 41.9% from 3-point range.
Wilson joined Memphis forward Cameron Boozer, his former rival at Duke, along with Milwaukee’s Brayden Burries, Golden State’s Yaxel Lendeborg and Cleveland’s Meleek Thomas on the first team.
For Wilson, the honor came after a summer that started with plenty of uncertainty. His final season at North Carolina ended in February with a broken wrist, and he hadn’t played a competitive game in five months before his Summer League debut against Memphis.
He scored 35 points in that game and admitted afterward that the emotion of being back on the court caught up with him. Wilson later reflected on what that stretch away from basketball had been like, saying it had been difficult to watch from the sidelines.
Even with the individual accolades piling up, Wilson said that the experience was part of a longer process.
“This is such a great learning experience for me,” Wilson said after the Bulls went just 1–4 in Las Vegas.
