Belichick, Hudson breakup, according to TMZ and People

North Carolina coach Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson are no longer a couple, according to reports from TMZ and People magazine TMZ reported Friday that the two ended their relationship “late last year.”

Neither Belichick, 74, nor Hudson, 25, has confirmed the status of the relationship.

People later reported that the two remain “committed to their business partnerships and remain close friends.” The magazine also reported that Hudson is seeing other people.

The two appeared together at the Kentucky Derby in May and on the field for UNC’s home games against Notre Dame and East Tennessee State, and after the big win at Duke (top photo).

TMZ reported that a pair of UNC football staffers, one of them a senior member, told USA Today they were unaware of the split.

The relationship drew scrutiny once it became public. The two reportedly met on a flight in 2021 and began dating privately in 2022. By May 2025, The New York Times reported that Hudson had told at least one person they were engaged. The reported breakup came months after that.

Hudson has never held an official role at UNC. She has been widely reported to work instead as a manager for Belichick’s business operations. Her management company oversees his personal image rights and licensing, and she filed to trademark phrases tied to him, including “Chapel Bill” and “All-Belichick Team.”

Belichick addressed her role in a May 2025 interview, saying she “doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football.”
