Details on heading to Cameron for ‘GameDay’ Saturday

By R.L. Bynum

ESPN’s “College GameDay” is coming to Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday morning ahead of Carolina’s game at Duke, and Tar Heels fans are welcome to get a little bit of the Cameron experience by being there for the show.

The hourlong program starts at 11 a.m., and admission is free, with the public allowed into Cameron starting at 9:30 a.m.

Host Rece Davis, who recently called UNC’s win at Syracuse, heads the crew that includes former Duke player Jay Bilas, former Virginia Tech coach Seth Greenberg and former Notre Dame star LaPhonso Ellis.

The game, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will also air on ESPN. Bilas will be the analyst for the game broadcast, with Dan Schulman on the call and Holly Rowe as the sideline reporter. There is an additional 30-minute “College GameDay” broadcast on ESPN set for 6 p.m. (assuming the 4 p.m. Purdue at Indiana game ends by that time).

It will be the record 12th time the show has come to Duke. It’s come to the Smith Center and to Kansas’ Allen Fieldhouse 10 times.

Parking for “GameDay” will be located at the Circuit Drive parking lot and the Buehler Trail parking lot.
