No. 1 North Carolina and No. 3 N.C. State clash in women’s tennis for a third time this season on Saturday in Orlando, Fla., with the national championship on the line.

The match at the USTA Tennis Campus is set for 6 p.m. (delayed by lightning) and will air on the Tennis Channel and free online here. It’s the first time since 2014 that UNC has made the NCAA championship game. Carolina has won the last four ITA indoor titles and gets a chance to finally break through in the NCAA tournament.

The teams split the first two matches this season, with the Tar Heels winning 7–0 on April 6 in Chapel Hill and the Wolfpack pulling out a 4–1 victory in Cary on April 23 in the ACC championship match in UNC’s only loss of the season.

Carolina (34–1), which has won five in a row since that setback, advanced with a 4–0 semifinal victory Friday over No. 4 Georgia for the Tar Heels’ program-record 34th victory.

N.C. State (28–4) beat No. 7 Stanford 4–0 for the Wolfpack’s 11th consecutive victory.

In the Tar Heels’ semifinal victory, they won the doubles point. Fiona Crawley and Abbey Forbes rolled to a 6–1 victory, and the duo of Carson Tanguilig and Elizabeth Scotty won 6–2.

In singles play, Fiona Crawley rolled to a 6–1, 6–2 victory over Dasha Vidmanova, her 120th as a Tar Heel to take sole possession of sixth place on the program’s all-time career wins list. Freshman Reese Brantmeier won 6–2, 6–4 over Lea Ma, and Elizabeth Scotty clinched the match with a 6–4, 6–4 victory over Anastasiia Lopata.
