Former UNC, NFL DB Boston teams with wife in TV series restoring homes damaged by storms

Tre Boston continues to advance his television career since the former UNC defensive back retired from the NFL.

After serving as a co-host for the ACC Network’s “ACC PM” last football season, he and his wife Cierra are the new hosts for a series on The Weather Channel called “FAST: Home Rescue,” which begins its second season on June 18 at 10 p.m.

The Bostons go to homes damaged by storms and restore them in five days. During the season, the home transformations occur in communities in Florida affected by Hurricane Ian and storm-damaged homes in Louisiana and Texas. In the first season, Cody and Felicia Walker were the hosts.

The Bostons own and operate a nonprofit organization called the Tre Boston Beyond Belief Foundation, based in Fort Myers, Fla. The foundation partners with detention centers, abuse shelters, and at-risk programs to educate, mentor and support youth in underserved communities. Its mission is to help the youth they serve to break generational cycles and overcome challenging circumstances.

Boston hasn’t appeared on “ACC PM” since football season ended but is expected to rejoin the show as football season gets closer.

The fourth-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2014, Boston had a seven-year NFL career, playing for the Los Angeles Chargers, the Arizona Cardinals and two stints with the Panthers, where he played in the 2016 Super Bowl loss to the Denver Broncos. He retired after the 2020 season as a Panther with 15 interceptions and 429 tackles for his career.

Boston played four seasons at UNC from 2010 to 2013, earning second-team All-ACC honors in 2013. He was third on the team in tackles with 70 in 2011. He had 13 career interceptions, including five in 2013.
