How to watch UNC’s game against USC Upstate on The CW

By R.L. Bynum

If you want to watch No. 14 North Carolina’s game Saturday against USC Upstate on TV, you’ll have to figure out your CW affiliate.

The Tar Heels’ games Saturday at 2 p.m. and on Jan. 3 at 2:15 at SMU will both air on The CW, a national network that launched in 2006. On the call of the USC Upstate game will be Tom Werme on play-by-play and Mike Gminski as the analyst.

In addition, two Carolina women’s basketball games will be shown on The CW: The Jan. 18 game at Florida State and the Jan. 25 home game against Syracuse.

Subscribe for a cleaner, smoother reading experience without the flashing banners, slow-loading elements, or those especially annoying pop‑up ads that interrupt the flow of the story. You’ll also get the first version of each story emailed to you. The only ads you’ll see are static, non-intrusive ads for UNC‑related books, and there are none currently on the site.

Unlike some ESPN or ACC Network broadcasts, you won’t have to worry about a late-running game forcing you to either miss the start of the game or switch to another channel to see it. There isn’t a game that airs before the UNC-Upstate game.

If your provider doesn’t carry The CW, your best options are an over-the-air antenna or a trip to the Smith Center. Otherwise, tune in to Jones Angell’s call on the Tar Heel Sports Network.
