Heels win 14-inning classic against Duke with impressive relief work

CHAPEL HILL — Fourteen innings, the most in a UNC-Duke game in nearly 61 years, were more than enough for Alex Madera. UNC can’t weather tough pitching night with missed offensive chances

CHAPEL HILL — It was a painful pitching night for No. 19 North Carolina, with potential repercussions for the Tar Heels’ bullpen. Olivia Miles sent shockwaves through the women’s basketball world with her decision to enter the transfer portal rather than declare for the WNBA draft, where she was projected to be a top-two pick. This is particularly intriguing for North Carolina fans, considering that Miles thought about playing for Coach Courtney Banghart at Princeton before she left for UNC.
