Heading into two games this week against ranked rivals, North Carolina fell out of the AP Top 25 women’s basketball poll released Monday after being ranked for seven consecutive weeks. UNC fell two spots to No. 22 in the coaches poll.

The Tar Heels (15–3, 5–3 ACC) beat Virginia 61–52 Thursday but lost to Georgia Tech (which stayed at No. 18) 55–38 on Sunday after being ranked No. 20 in last week’s AP poll. UNC visits Duke (13–4, 4–3), which stayed at No. 21, on Thursday and plays host Sunday to N.C. State (18–2, 9–0), which is up one spot to No. 3.

Duke beat Miami 58–49 and Virginia 57–48. State followed up an epic comeback in a 68–59 home victory over Louisville (which fell from No. 3 to No. 5) with a 51–45 home win over Virginia Tech.
