Cameron Johnson — the subject of trade rumors — and Coby White are putting up the best numbers heading into the Christmas break of the six former UNC players on NBA rosters, while Cole Anthony had a monster game last weekend. Armando Bacot, Pete Nance and Nassir Little stand out among the seven former Tar Heels in the G League.

Three teammates on UNC’s 2017 national championship team continue to put up big numbers in the G League as Texas Legends teammates. Tar Heels in pros: Jackson pours in 36 with 7 3-pointers in G League shooting show; Barnes scores 14, draws first technical in 10 years

Justin Jackson would obviously prefer to still be on an NBA roster, but the plus side is that he’s getting plenty of playing time being back with the G League’s Texas Legends. To say that Jackson was shooting well from the start of Monday’s game would be an understatement. He scored four 3-pointers in the first five minutes, with every shot getting nothing but net.

Tar Heels in pros: Brooks has 5 double-doubles, leads G League in rebounding; Barnes’ 27 push Kings’ streak to 7

Garrison Brooks isn’t on an NBA roster, but he’s having the sort of G League season for the Westchester Knicks that makes a good case that he should be. Through six games, he’s the league’s leading rebounder.
Meanwhile, Harrison Barnes can’t be stopped in the last seven games, and the Sacramento Kings can’t be beaten behind his play and leadership.

Tar Heels in pros: Jackson leads Legends to first G League playoff win; White, Barnes, Johnson score in double figures

The Legends, the No. 5-seed in the Western Conference, were the only road team to win a first-round game. They knocked off the No. 4-seed Squadron, the affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans.
