Tar Heels in Summer League: Sharpe puts up another double-double; Jackson has solid game; Manek scores seven

Day’Ron Sharpe has averaged a double-double during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and kept that momentum going on Thursday while Justin Jackson had another solid game.

Sharpe collected 20 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks Thursday as his Brooklyn team easily defeated Minnesota 102–83.

In four Summer League games, Sharpe is averaging 13.5 points and 10 rebounds with two double-doubles.

Jackson scored in double figures for the third time in three games with 16 points, two 3-pointers, three rebounds and five assists in Boston’s 108–91 victory over Memphis.

Jackson and Sharpe will meet Saturday night at 8 o’clock (ESPN) when the Celtics face the Nets.

Brady Manek played the most in any Summer League game Thursday with 16 minutes, putting up seven points and five rebounds in Charlotte’s 89–73 loss to Chicago.

For the second consecutive New York game, the Knicks’ 102–89 win over Orlando, Garrison Brooks didn’t play (coach’s decision.)
